The article examines the legal basis and types of international cooperation
in the field of forensic psychiatric examinations, with an emphasis on the
exchange of experience between Ukraine and the countries of the European
Union. The key areas of cooperation between forensic institutions were analyzed,
including the exchange of knowledge, joint projects and the adaptation of
European standards into Ukrainian legislation. Prospects for improving the
quality of forensic psychiatric examinations in Ukraine through international
cooperation, increasing the efficiency of justice and observing human rights in
criminal processes are considered.
