In the article, based on the analysis of the scientific views of scientists and the norms of the current legislation, the author's definition of the concept of foreign economic activity is proposed. Attention is focused on the fact that foreign economic activity is associated with a large circulation of funds, which in turn determines the high risks of committing crimes in the relevant sphere. The features that characterize crimes in the foreign economic sphere and the ways to reduce the level of foreign economic crime are singled out.
