THE CONCEPT OF URBAN PLANNING ACTIVITY AS AN OBJECT OF CONTROL

Abstract

It was found that urban planning is a complex, complex category that
characterizes not a single process, but a whole range of diverse, united by a
common goal mechanisms that are implemented equally by the state, local
authorities and citizens. This is a system aimed at the development of the
territory of Ukraine, namely settlements that, by their characteristics, belong to
cities. At the same time, we are not only talking about construction, that is, the
construction of new buildings or their complexes. Of course, they are a significant
part of urban planning, but along with them, its essence is made up of official
procedures of public authorities, which are associated with ensuring the public
benefit, correctness and legality of the implementation of the specified activity.
It is proved that urban planning should be considered simultaneously from
two interrelated positions, broad and narrow, which made it possible to note the
main substantive aspects of the category and highlight the most accurate concept,
first of all, as an object of control activity.
