Abstract

Combating crime is one of the key activities of international and national law enforcement agencies, public organizations, etc. Such principles are enshrined in the provisions of the current legislation, which are special in the context of determining the powers of law enforcement agencies. The same legislative acts also define the directions of interaction of law enforcement agencies with the population. For the further development of civil society and the creation of harmonious foundations for the functioning of its formalized structures, it is important to involve them in the activities of public sector bodies, among which the security and defense sector plays an important role in the outlined processes. One of the important and currently relevant areas of activity of the latter is combating human trafficking. Taking this into account and based on today's realities, the purpose of the study was to determine the prospects for using the capabilities of civil society institutions in the prevention and prevention of human trafficking, by approved international legal standards, outline the prospects for their use in the formation of state policy of Ukraine and implementation in the law enforcement practice of national law enforcement agencies.
