Abstract

The article determines that, given the complexity, multifaceted nature and
global scale of the problem of human trafficking, it is at the international level that
it is possible to build an effective system designed to coordinate the activities of
national law enforcement agencies, direct the efforts of the world's states to
prevent and combat such criminal manifestations, raise awareness of the scale
and features of this problem at the current stage of human development, and
position the fight against this problem as one of the leading tasks of the world
community in achieving sustainable and balanced human development.
It is argued that human trafficking on an international scale is characterized
by a special system of social relations, economic and social factors that form a
favorable environment in which one category of people finds themselves in an
extremely difficult social situation, and another category, most often associated
with global criminal networks, tries to take advantage of this situation to organize
human trafficking and dozens of processes through which such crimes are
organized.
It has been established that the international level of human trafficking
encompasses a significant number of international documents, conventions,
strategies, and directives that are closely interconnected, establish the priorities
of state regulation in this area, and also form vectors for common areas of activity
of the entire international community. It is noted that in the process of further
improving the fight against human trafficking at the international level, artificial
intelligence, machine learning, data analysis, and natural language processing
technologies should be actively used.
